‘Good Governance’ Operational Program
The project’s main goal is increasing citizen participation in the process of design and control of the implementation of early childhood development. The process is supported by WWO Bulgaria and ‘The Sustainable Law Development Institute’ Foundation – organizations with a lot of experience and focus on the subject matter.
The project’s focus is improving the wellbeing of all Bulgarian children and their right to access quality institutional and non-formal services. The planned activities aim to increase the involvement of NGOs in the design and implementation of policies, as well as sharing our expertise with a network of NGOs working in the field of early childhood. The project includes monitoring of the curriculum in educational institutions for young children in 5 municipalities in the country; researching good practices and models for providing non-formal services in the communities in 3 countries member of the European Union; holding 5 work meetings/seminars with representatives of local communities, local government, professionals, parents and NGOs involved in the provision of non-formal services. This aims to increase the civil participation in the process of implementation and monitoring of policies and legislation for early childhood development.
The project is being implemented in partnership with the ‘Sustainable Law Development Institute’ Foundation and is worth 58 165,15 leva.
The ‘Early Childhood Development – Shared Care and Responsibility of the Society’ project is financed by the ‘Good Governance’ Operational Program, co-financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund.
