With the financial support of the ‘New Beginning for Ukrainian women and children in Bulgaria’ program of the BG4UA and ‘BCause’ Foundation, we support the preparation of 15 children aged 3 to 7 to enter the educational system. The focus of the activities is recovery from the traumatic events they have gone through as well as learning the Bulgarian language with the help of the Element of Play program®. Aiming to make parents’ communication with the educational institutions easier, the program provides Bulgarian language course for the parents. We organize social and cultural events, led by a social mediator, which aim at improving the social experience and Bulgarian language skills of both parents and children. In addition, the project provides temporary employment for an Ukrainian specialist.
The ‘New Beginning’ program supports women and children refugees of the war in Ukraine to restart their lives in Bulgaria.
